Book Review: A Husband to Remember by Lisa Jackson

bookThe idea of this book sounded interesting – a woman loses her memory and a man claims to be her husband but she doesn’t remember him. However, it really wasn’t a very compelling story and was disappointing. I read “You Don’t Want To Know” by Lisa Jackson and loved it so I thought this book would be good as well but it really wasn’t. The plot line was lacking – she doesn’t trust him, then they have sex, then she doesn’t trust him, then they have sex. I finished it because I wanted to know the truth of the whole story but even the end wasn’t that exciting. The main female character is supposed to be a strong woman heroine of sorts but I felt she was too prideful most of the time, didn’t make wise decisions and was overall too stubborn. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone.

    1. Oh yeah, it’s also similar to What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty (she wakes up from an accident thinking she’s 29 instead of 39) but I really loved the book by Liane Moriarty. I do see how “memory loss after an accident” could be the main idea behind many movies and books.
