Book Review: Opening Skinner’s Box by Lauren Slater

1I really enjoyed this book. It doesn’t read like a text book, which definitely made it more readable and easy to follow. It goes through the great psychological experiments of the twentieth century but explains them more like stories than just research, data and findings. It explores what the experiments might mean or how they might be applied. It’s a very human approach to psychology. I majored in Sociology and have always found psychology fascinating so this book was definitely my style. It definitely isn’t for everyone but it is easy to read and if you’re interested in psychology/sociology then you’d probably enjoy it, too!
